Giltrap was a contemporary of Bert Jansch and John Renbourn and was signed to Transatlantic Records, due to his talent and increasing success in the London music scene. He was only 18 years old when he went into the studio to record "Gordon Giltrap", produced by Bill Leader. In 1968, the album was released on Transatlantic Records and was followed by the album "Portrait" in 1969.
Giltrap has had a long and varied career, earning a reputation as one of Britain's finest acoustic guitarists. Still making music and continuing to record, he was recently awarded an MBE for his commitment to music and community service. Digitally remastered, repackaged and with liner notes.
