Released in 1993, the album showcases the skills of the London Philharmonic Orchestra on a selection of Yes classics, featuring Yes veterans Jon Anderson, Steve Howe and Bill Bruford, and under the auspices of arranger David Palmer.
Palmer had previously worked with Jethro Tull, releasing a series of symphonic tributes for the RCA label featuring the music of Jethro Tull, Genesis and Pink Floyd. The presence of sound engineer Alan Parsons, who by this time was an artist in his own right but had produced the Pink Floyd classic Dark Side of the Moon as a sound engineer, gives this release even more convincing progressive rock credentials.
And the cover artwork is by none other than Roger Dean, whose views of imaginary alien landscapes were featured on many of the classic Yes albums.
