Dig it ! (CD)
After two years of exploring new sounds and several European tours under their belt The Royal Beat Conspiracy is back with a new album. These slick cats from Gothenburg in Sweden has redefined themselves and come up with a fresh and vibrant mixture of southern soul and many shades of rock'n'roll and rockabilly that should not disappoint old fans while gaining new followers. When ""Gala Galore"" was released to massive rave reviews in Sweden and beyond in 2000 it was hailed for the unique blend of pop, garage, southern soul, rockabilly and even disco as in their first radiohit ""Disco Boy"". ""Dig It"" is more focused, shorter and to the point. 10 songs in 33 minutes produced by Torsten Larsson who also produced ""Gala Galore"" and has worked with Soundtrack Of Our Lives and many others. What also separates the two albums is the more permanent addition of organ player Carl Stintzing who adds a wide range of sounds and cunning details to the songs making The Royal Beat Conspiracy sound like modern soul music with a slight psych flavour.
