Greetings From L.A. (CD)
Tim Buckley brought in 20 musicians to record "Greetings From LA," his seventh studio album. None was more important to the funky honky-tonk sound than guitarist Joe Falsia, whose electric playing is the perfect complement to Buckley's 12-string guitar
Buckley's voice had a truly amazing range, great control and timbre, and the ability to be both powerful and delicate. He was also a good performer who used his amazing voice more like a musical instrument. The music is timeless, it could have been made yesterday
"Greetings From L.A." is about the night. About the time when the free love of the 1960s became the pleasure chase of the 1970s. There aren't many performers who take the sexual revolution to these heights. His father's music was probably the biggest inspiration for Jeff Buckley.
