The first thing that crossed my mind, was: "Does she do this all alone?", but I could not find a trace of info indicating that one of the musicians should open his mouth as well on this record, so I conclude that she is doing the roaring hardcore alike vocals as well as the sweet female vocals. But that is not all there is: she sings, she groans, whispers, murmurs and screams like a fury, wallowing herself in a never ending therapeutic scream for attention. Maybe it is important to know that this album is called 'Tératologie'. This is the scientific study of congenital malformations. They do not want to please us with this music; their purpose is to smash a macabre gallows-meal of sixty-nine minutes on our fore-heated plate. In that respect they passed the test. For the inaccessible, intense music comes close to hysteria from time to time ('NaOCI') and includes quite some avant-garde passages. I liked the latter part of 'Tératologie' better than the first songs. For instance the weird sound collage listening to the title of 'Rythmique De La Bête' and I can assure you it is bestial. Even over the top. Or the fragment with dub ambient sounds in 'Ileus Matricis' which is fine. It is obvious that we are dealing with innovative musicians who deserve a prize for originality, but I have to warn you that a high grade of tolerance is needed to get away with this!
