Lose Control (CD)
"Farther Paint" are primarily a female fronted progressive metal band. Yes, their music is melodic, but at times is very technical, too. It would be fair to tag the band as experimental/avant garde at times as Lose Control is far from a straight prog metal album. I hear some fusion, strange electronica and at times the songs have a bit of a pop flare and are even a little funky at times. I swear I hear a bit of Taylor Dayne on occasion as lead vocalist Monia Rossi is very good and likable especially when she gets a little soulful pop to her voice. Often times this is followed by some technical guitar playing.
