Stacking Smoke = Digipak = (CD)
I find it takes a long time to get into Autumn albums, and I find that they are a band that I want to really like, but their albums fall short. Their albums tend to have a few catchy songs, or at least ones with memorable choruses, but then there will be some really forgettable tracks as well. Many of their songs are very Progressive Rock in style, so I guess they weren't written to be catchy, but I still think they could be improved with a larger emphasis on their keyboards. Some of the best moments are when the keyboards are at the forefront, eg the epic ending of "Cyanide Sky". Their main strength is the vocals, Marjan Welman has such a beautiful tone; it's like a sugary treat for your ears. The first half is the strongest, with my favourite tracks being "Old Fuel", "Stacked Smoke" and "Where the River Ends".
