Although Talk to Your Daughter is Robben's first album to receive attention, it fails to grab my attention. The album does sound surprisingly modern despite being over twenty years old and is fairly easy to start listening to as seven of the nine tracks are covers of blues rock staples. Anyone with a mild blues rock background will recognize "Help the Poor" or "Born Under a Bad Sign."
