With one foot in melodic rock and one foot in progressive rock Wonderlands debut might be a good start if you wanna explore the progressive side of rock. Wonderland are a band that been together for many years but most of the time appeared as a cover band under the name Wonderboys. But with a bunch of songs written by Per Andersson ( guitars ) and Klas Ling ( vocals ) the band decided to record and release their debut. And a debut it is! Good melodies that really gets to you, for instance Hold my soul that got a melody which you easily sing along to and also got a great keyboard solo (by Bo Karlsson) followed by a great guitarsolo. The second song Can't get too much might even be the most interesting song heard this year. A guitar intro with much reverb that stops just to hear the driving bass and drums (played by Joakim Lundberg and Joakim Jansson) while the vocals initially sounds similar to Billy Idol just to take a turn both musically and vocally in a more vulgar and mean direction, probably the best song on the CD because of it's contrasts.
