Toronto's Mighty Oaks present Validus Balanus (Mighty Acorn) - a record pulled together by time, chance and coincidence. Twelve tracks recorded from 2009 to 2012 displaying a love of melody, discovery and sound. Some fuzz here, some harmonies there, a bit of MOOG, a bit of Rickenbacker, a bit of West Coast, a bit of British folk, some NY subway sound. This gently freaked Pub Rock band say it for the ages on their eccentric debut.
