A unique singer in the French musical landscape, Christian DECAMPS is the true soul of ANGE, the most famous French Progressive rock group of the Seventies. His writing is based on the perfect combination of the classical French poetic style, a caustic sense of humour and an true sensitivity. During his thirty-five years on stage, the "Père" ("Father") took the time to have a solo carreer, helped by his "Fils" ("Sons"), a solo carrer paved with such milestones as "Le Mal D'Adam" (1979) or "Nu" (1994). The "Mes Vers Solitaires" DVD has been recorded during a "Ouanne Mane Chaud" (Probably the local version of a one-man show !) that took place in 1993 near Belfort. Christian DECAMPS sings, plays guitar, keyboards, telephone (?) and other strange devices. Between songs, he tells his tales and sketches with humour, emotion and intensity. The songs are taken from his solo career, as well as angelic classics like "Ode A Emile" or two Jacques BREL's covers. This one hour and a half-show reveals an exceptional frontman, sincere, full of charisma and sensibility. Don't go any further ! Christian DECAMPS could also list acting (Watch the mythical "Les Rats De Cave"), writing ("B.A. Ba Sur Les Fesses Du Bon-Dieu") and directing movies amongst his multiple talents. He may now add musical therapy ! "Psychédélice" (2008) is clearly different from the singer's previous works, starting with the fact that this piece of work is 99% instrumental ! Christian took two years to finish it, alone in front of his keyboards. No need to ask for a prescription, the die-hard fans already assaulted their favourite pharmacy !
