North Atlantic Oscillation have been described as prog-pop and electro-rock, but really they just make music. Welcome to a sonic world of soaring harmonies, loud guitars, dreamy synths, heavy drums, effects aplenty and unexpected changes-of-mind. NAO are the Scottish based trio of Sam Healy (vocals, guitar, bass, keyboards, synths, sax, percussion), Ben Martin (drums, percussion, programming) and Bill Walsh (bass, synth bass, vocals). They describe themselves as playing their instruments within a computerised wall of sound. "Callsigns" is band's debut release and provides a perfect introduction ahead of the release of their debut album, ?Grappling Hooks? (due in early 2010). The 4 track EP features a radio edit of the lead track 'Cell Count', along with 'Ceiling Poem' (both taken from 'Grappling Hooks'), a cover of 'I Only Have Eyes For You' and '77 Hours' remixed by Kscope label mates Engineers.
