Metalheads who thought W.A.S.P. and Mötley Crüe were just choir boys and who were looking for more vile and boisterous music were well served when White Zombie released their albums in the mid- to late '90s. The ingredients? White-trash-on-acid metal, growled vocals and B-horror movie visuals. After releasing the successful album 'La Sexorcisto' in 1992 Rob Zombie and his band's opinion was that it all could be a bit more rough. And so it happened.. Follow-up album 'Astro-Creep 2000' from 1995 is much heavier than its predecessor, with a more industrial metal style and a darker sound as it deals with twisted poetry about murder, the undead, blasphemy and satanic elements.
