Reductio ad absurdum (CD)
Dissonati was formed by John Hagelbarger (keys, saxes, woodwinds) and John Reagan (drums) in 2006. The addition of Ron Rutherford on guitar soon after rounded out the current line-up. Although they draw in influences from many different genres, including jazz, electronica and improvisation, the common focus for the production of the first album was classic prog-rock from bands like early Genesis and King Crimson. The album is a high-energy set of seven complex prog and psych songs in this spirit.
