Marrow, the band's seventh album, is more or less the same as any other album of theirs I've listened to. It's good, it's got a good deal of variation, both the more mellow and the frantic styles are well executed and overall the experience is quite enjoyable. Until it isn't. 53 minutes isn't long for a prog metal album, but damn if Madder Mortem don't make it feel long. Stylistically there's not much difference to their earlier albums, although I can't exactly remember if they've used harsh male vocals before, which are now used sparingly to give some of the songs a heavier edge. It works quite well when paired with Agnete's crazier delivery.
