Kete Kuf (CD)
Ahava Raba's Kete Kuf blends klezmer, Tuvan throat singing, Eastern European folk music, and contemporary classical music in a fascinating and entertaining style. Released on Tzadik, John Zorn's label for "radical Jewish culture," the group's debut reveals them to be one of the most distinctive, inventively Jewish ensembles in recent memory.
