Creozoth (CD)
More and more, side projects of bands are becoming more relevant than the main project. Such is the case with Creozoth, the side work of Candlemass guitarist Lars Johansson, drummer Jan Lindh and ex-Yngwie J. Malmsteen vocalist Michael Storck. Creozoth, as a band, have come forth with a crushing dose of powerful metal. This isn't as doom oriented as Candlemass, but all the thick guitar elements are here. It's sort of power metal, but not completely. It's just straight up, ass-kicking metal. And it's really, really good.
