This '66 album was indeed something of a high-wire act, in that Judy tackled material ranging from blues to rock to soul to even soundtrack music, and regaled the live-in-the-studio audience with free-associative comic rants in between! Of course, it helps when you have somebody like musical director Jack Nitzsche there in case you fall; taking a page from mentor Phil Spector's book, Nitzsche flawlessly leads a full-on orchestra behind Judy's vocal brio. An enormously entertaining album!
