DOUBLE RE-RELEASE OF THE BANDS TWO ALBUMS "INSIDE YOURS" (1990) AND "PUSH" (1992)
Gruntruck's beginnings reach all the way back to 1989 when Ben McMillan, vocalist/guitarist known from the band Skin Yard, decided to form a side project of his own. After the release of Skin Yard's second album, "Hallowed Ground", their drummer "Norman" Scott McCullum decided to leave the group. McMillan contacted him soon after that and along with guitarist Tom Niemayer (The Accüsed) and bassist Tim Paul (Napalm Beach) formed Gruntruck - a brand new voice involved in the widely spreading grunge movement. The band initially released their debut album "Inside Yours" through a local Seattle label eMpTy Records in 1990, and then returned a year later with a 2-track split album with Motorhoney, released through Musical Tragedies. This was enough to catch the attention of Roadrunner Records, who offered the group a multi-album contract. This way "Inside Yours" got re-released on January 14th, 1991, with two additional bonus tracks. The album, produced by the legendary Jack Endino, received a very warm reception on the local scene. The sophomore offering brought an even heavier material, with such brilliant tracks as "Tribe", "Gotta Believe" and "Crazy Love" . Jack Endino once again proved his extraordinary skills, delivering excellent production.
