Solid Hard Rock with a few Alt Metal (namely the awesome On My Way) moments and nice funk influences throughout. Basically a bunch of dudes who dug their Hendrix and Sly Stone records, and chose to do their own vision in the midst of the then new Janes Addiction/Red Hot Chili Peppers alt explosion. The problem is thats it never explodes like their contemporaries do. They have the talent and make their song writing interesting enough to not be totally generic (the random psych effects, and funk elements sprinkled throughout), but they fail to cause a spark. Some of it is a bit to saccharine for my tastes and more grit is prefered. Still its not bad at all, and these guys should have had more success. Theres def alotta worse shit in 91 that was on the charts. Recommended. Fave Blasts: W.H.Y.B., On My Way, The Colourful Ones, Feelings Flower
