Insider show that they're strong in the cosmic doom riff rock department. There are shades of the greats here - Sabbath, Kyuss, Monster Magnet, Goatsnake, etc. They also have a touch of classic metal to them, mostly due to their vocalist, who sounds like a lower-register Bruce Dickenson singing with Dio-esque mannerisms. But what makes Insider more notable is the guitar playing. The simple yet expressive playing raise Insider above the fray. The solos compliment the riffs. So if you want your Pink Floyd with more crunch, or would like to hear more psychedelic elements in your metal, check out Insider.
