Giant Step/De Ole Folks at Home is, as the title suggests, a two-part album. The lively blues of Giant Step has Taj's best song "Farther On Down the Road (You Will Accompany Me)" which really ought to be a wedding mix staple and the cover of "Take a Giant Step" is incredibly sexy. The other half ventures into country, folk/blues territory. It's has a warm sense of ponds and backwoods wonder. "Fishin' Blues" is the real catch.
