For many, 'In Heat' - with it's superb Gene Simmons production and overt Def Leppardisms - is the perfect BLACK N' BLUE album. Indeed, 'Get Wise To The Rise' and 'Heat It Up! Burn It Out!' rock harder than anything the band had recorded since their first album. This was to be the last of a quartet of great eighties hard rock albums that the band would record with it's original line-up. Various members have worked together on projects in the years since, but this was really as good as it got...
