The Slipping Of A Day (CD)
Cirrus Bay originally began in 2001, as an acoustic duo, Bill Gillham and Sharra Gillham (now Sharra Acle). Bill wanted to create music that would move people in a unique way, using different types of chords and melodies than the norm, but that would still appeal to more than just a select few. They would perform original songs in coffee and sandwich shops, for the most part. One day Seattle drummer Mark Blasco heard them and offered to drum and record songs for a cd. This was exciting as Mark is a huge fan of Nick D\'Virgilio of Spock\'s Beard, who also has drummed with Genesis, and, one of Bill\'s favorite bands, Big Big Train. This took a lot of time as Mark had several other jobs, and Bill had 2 jobs as well. Bill also occasionally recorded at Dave Croston\'s studio in Tacoma. Bill has worked off and on for years with vocalist Alex Brighenti, who does the majority of the vocals for Cirrus Bay. At present Bill and Anisha perform Cirrus Bay songs from the cd as well as music not from the cd.
