Led into action by songwriter Tuomas Seppälä, the band released their debut album, 'River Of Tuoni', back in 2008, followed up by 'The Clouds Of Northern Thunder' the following year; in support of these releases, the six embarked on two European tours with Dutch symphonic rockers Epica and now AD are upping the ante with a new record deal, a new 10-track album and a new tour, due to start rolling later in the year. The musicians describe 'End Of Eden' as being heavier than its predecessors with a bigger overall sound, although fans will be delighted to find the soprano vocals of Parviainen as crystal clear as ever, and her trademark lyrics as immersed in Finnish myth & legend as on albums one & two. Beneath the vocals, there's plenty of sturm und drang (and shred) from the guitars, plus an equal degree of drama from the keyboard side, with 'Ivory Wizard' Jens Johansson (famed for his work with Stratovarius and Yngwie Malmsteen's Rising Force) appearing as a guest to add even further weight to both the melody & the muscle.
