This is an awesome album. First LP has live recordings from throughout her career and interesting interviews which give some insight into her thoughts and personality. Second LP is a bunch of early recordings of Janis doing covers of blues, jazz and country (with some original songs). Even though these are early and unpolished recordings they are essential, she slays every one of these songs and you get an idea of her roots. Tons of soul!
