Taking their name from the track on the "Killing Machine" album by Judas Priest, Hamburg's Running Wild would become best known as the Metal band with the pirate fixation. However, this image wasn't to emerge until a good few years into their career (following their 3rd album release, "Under Jolly Roger" to be precise). Prior to this, Running Wild were hell bent on establishing themselves on the wider European metal circuit, and following a number of well- placed demo tapes, the band came to the attention of Noise Records during the early 80s.
