Materiale Per Tre Esecutori E Nastro Magnetico = LP = (LP)
Reissue on 180-gram black vinyl! Dedalus was an Italian jazz-rock band (from Pinerolo) that had a busy live schedule, despite sounding quite different than most of the important Italian prog bands of that time. After a great performance in Napels, at the 1973 edition of the Festival Di Avanguardia E Nuove Tendenze', a renowned journalist called them the revelation of the festival. Their first album contained a unique blend of jazz-rock with influences from Soft Machine, while this second LP, 1974's 'Materiale Per Tre Esecutori E Nastro Magnetico', sees the band reduced to a trio, as bassist Furio Di Castri had left the band in order to pursue a long career as a jazz bass player. Compared to the debut, this sophomore record showcases much more traces of avant-garde with an increased use of electronics.
