On this release, Dan Fogelberg was beginning to find a place where he could make his own kind of music while successfully absorbing current influences. Much like Jackson Browne and Don Henley, he was able to bring electronic and rhythmic touches to his sound while maintaining the simplicity of his music and continuing to write songs that explored the themes that had always worked for him. ~ Steve Matteo
