Voices (CD)
Recently hailed by RECORD COLLECTOR magazine as "The finest vocalist youve never heard", CLAIRE HAMILL has enjoyed a long and varied career as one of Britains finest female singer songwriters. Signing to Island Records in 1971 at the age of 17, she made a series of wonderful albums in the 1970s. The singer EVA CASSIDY covered Claires "You Take My Breath Away" and Claires influence extends to artists such as KATE BUSH. In the 1980s Claires music embraced the ambient movement and following work with artists such as JON & VANGELIS, Claire recorded the wonderful album "Voices", a record featuring solely vocal sounds that topped the UK New Age Chart and was the soundtrack to BBC TVs "Domesday" series. Now hailed as a classic, ESOTERIC RECORDINGS are proud to release this innovative work by a unique performer.
