This '07 album succinctly epitomizes all that's special about Atlanta's favorite flower Punk sons: the uncontained energy, undeniable songcraft, and unrivaled showmanship are all on full display, as is a newfound sense of the world around them. Songs like "Katrina" and "Bad Kids" spare none of the Black Lips' trademark smirk and smear, but also demonstrate a purpose and perspective not always at the forefront of the band's music. Good Bad Not Evil traffics in the kind of ragged Rock harmony missing from record stores for so long.
