Video Anthology Vol 1 & 2 (CD)
NTSC/Region 0. Two DVD Collection of concert footage from Bill Bruford's jazz quartet Earthworks. The footage chronicles the band over two decades, beginning in 1990, and features them performing live in various locations around the world including Germany, Japan and the United States. The group was originated as a vehicle for Bruford's unusual and innovative use of electronic percussion, and did much to challenge perceptions about what a drummer should, or should not, be doing in jazz. Earthworks continues to offer a platform to the brightest and best young players, and has become a "potential model for the 21st century Jazz mainstream' (Chicago Reader).
