ALTAIR is a Spanish duet made of drummer Alfredo G. ARCUSA and keyboardist Isabel MUNIENTE, created in the year 1986. These two musicians are inspired by the mythical Progressive rock trios, EMERSON, LAKE & PALMER at the head, with a latin personality and a jazz-rock touch. Their eponymous album has been recorded in 1990, and despite having been published almost a decade later, "Fantasias y Danzas", (1999) still reveals a strong taste for retro sounds. "La Esencia Del Tiempo" is a compilation covering the band's career, including its current line-up, a trio (Guess what ?) centered around Alfredo G. ARCUSA (Drums), Albert GUITART (Bass) and Emilio RUIZ (Keyboards). Here's also the first release by Mexican label Azafran Media, helped by Musea. To be discovered !
