This is a bargain-priced, two-for-one compilation of Alice Cooper's acclaimed albums BRUTAL PLANET and DRAGONTOWN. Brutal is the key word here, as the chugging opening chords of the title track show this isn't your father's TRASH-era Alice Cooper. Alice's outraged vocals are balanced nicely by the melodic Natalie Delaney on this concept album about modern society's waste-strewn path to doom Alice Cooper's second release of the 21st century, 2001's DRAGONTOWN, can best be summed up as the next chapter of his previous release, BRUTAL PLANET, which many longtime fans considered to be the Coop's best, most focused, and heaviest work in years. Theatrical rock's godfather updated his sound for the new millennium to keep in step with the contemporaneous crop of heavy hitters, without sacrificing his noted macabre trademark.
