Neon Lights : The Broadcast 1975 = 5 CD / DVD Set = (CD)
Baker Gurvitz Army was founded in 1974 by former Gun and Three Man Army members Adrian Gurvitz (guitar, vocals), Paul Purvitz (bass, vocals) and the virtuoso drummer Ginger Baker, who had previously played with Cream, Blind Faith and Airforce. The trio was soon joined by singer Mr. Snips (Steve Parsons) and keyboardist Peter Lemer. The band was a highly regarded live act and recorded three albums that rank among the best British rock songs of the mid-1970s. This official collection includes a stunning BBC Radio 1 In Concert performance as well as a complete concert from the Kings Hall, Derby recorded for Independent Radio, all remastered from the original master tapes. Also included are 2 DVDs (NTSC - Region Free) containing a Baker Gurvitz Army session for BBC TV's Old Grey Whistle Test, a recently discovered BBC TV concert from 1975 and the complete live session for the German TV program Musikladen. Also included are two recently discovered songs that were recorded but not broadcast on the original Radio Bremen program in February 1975. Neon Lights - The Broadcasts 1975" is the ultimate collection of the Baker Gurvitz Army at their best, much of which was previously unreleased.
