Live From London: Live From the Camden Palace = DVD = (DVD)
Recorded in 1985 at the Camden Palace as part of the "Live From London" series, Nazareth open their set with Dan McCafferty belting out Telegram in his signature gruff vocal style. Featuring all four original members of the band (McCafferty, Charlton, Agnew and Sweet), Nazareth treat us to an intimate yet powerful performance of all their greatest hits, including Razamanaz, Teenage Nervous Breakdown, This Flight Tonight and Love Hurts. Success for a band in its formative years is hard to come by - even harder when
you're a band from the small town of Dunfermline, Scotland in 1968. And so it was for Dan McCafferty, Manny Carlton, Pete Agnew and Darrell Sweet performing as the newly formed band Nazareth. To increase their chances of finding a willing audience and solid financial backing, the band moved from Scotland to London in 1970 and released their first album, Nazareth in 1971. But it wasn't until the release of their second album, Exercises in 1972, that the band gained notable attention, which lead them to perform as the support act on tour for Deep Purple.
