Strange brew (DVD)
I knew how good Cream was and understood their importance to the development of blues-rock music. Watching and listening to the DVD Strange Brew made those realizations more apparent than ever. What grabbed me the most was all the live footage of the band, which happens to be every song on this DVD. Oh my, was this dominant music! Ginger Baker (drums), Eric Clapton (guitar, vocals) and Jack Bruce (bass, vocals) were (and still are) all stellar musicians and together they were unmatched as a rock trio. The insightful interviews with each member were very enjoyable, giving me a good overview of the band?s beginnings and eventual demise.
