Esoteric Recordings are pleased to announce a new remastered edition of the superb 1969 Psychedelic / Progressive rock masterpiece by TOUCH. Formed in 1968 by former Kingsmen keyboard player DON GALLUCCI, the band also featured JOEY NEWMAN (Guitar), BRUCE HAUSER (Bass), JEFF HAWKS (Vocals) and JOHN BARNARDO (Drums). Making their home in a Moorish style mansion in the Hollywood Hills, TOUCH created an album both experimental and ground breaking in style.
Their debut album was recorded at Sunset Sound Studios in Hollywood and sessions saw admirers such as JIMI HENDRIX, GRACE SLICK and MICK JAGGER visit the studio to offer encouragement and support to the band. Tracks such as the epic "SEVENTY FIVE" and "THE SPIRITUAL DEATH OF HOWARD GREER" were hallmarks of the album's excellence. Another highlight track, "DOWN AT CIRCE'S PLACE" gained the band a UK following when it was included on the DERAM sampler "WOWIE ZOWIE- THE WORLD OF PROGRESSIVE MUSIC" in 1969. Four decades on, "TOUCH" is now rightly hailed as a masterpiece of the era.
This ESOTERIC RECORDINGS reissue is remastered and includes FIVE RARE BONUS TRACKS. The lavish album artwork has been fully restored and the booklet features a new essay.
