It seems that Weird Owl and this album are suffering from a lack of respect in the RYM community and probably abroad as well. Damn shame too as this is (along with Assemble Head in Sunburst Sound's When Sweet Sleep Returned) one of the five best modern psych albums I've heard in the past few years. Perhaps it's the tag of psychedelic rock that instantly knocks it down a rung in most peoples eyes. The thing is, while it's definitely in the psych realm, there is enough innovation, melody and mystery here to appeal to a wider audience than the normal psych, stoner rock, head music fans. While listening to a burned copy of the album on a long drive, my oldest daughter (18 and definitely not a psych fan) asked who it was and could she burn a few tracks. She dug on the groove of 'Flying Low Through the Air After Thunder', '13 Arrows, 13 Stars' and 'Mind Mountain'. I only mention this as an example of my point.
