Mr Gil is a band formed in 1998. It is then that Mirek Gil, the guitarist of a progressive group Collage, decides to present his artistic abilities in his first solo album "Alone". The group was originally formed by Olaf ?apczy?ski - vocals, Krzysztof Palczewski - keyboards, Piotr Witkowski - bass and Vlodi Tafel - percussion. The best known composition from the "Alone" period is undoubtedly the piece entitled "Beggar", which has since been heard in the concerts of groups led by Mirek Gil. After ten years of silence the idea of reactivating the project and creating (releasing) a new album is born. Consequently the band releses "Skellig" in 2009. Next to Mirek Gil, the album features Karol Wróblewski - the voice of the group Believe, Przemek Zawadzki - the former member of Collage and the bassist of Believe and Wojtek Szadkowski - another former member of Collage. Now for the present. According to Mirek Gil himself, what you will see on stage is a new, "crystallised" band Mr Gil. The group's new music came out recently in the form of the album called "Light and Sound". You will hear there Paulina Druch and her cello, Konrad Wantrych's piano, the voice of Karol Wróblewski and the guitar of Mirek Gil. The album will be released in January 2011 by Electrum Production.
