Fighting For Evil (CD)
Excruciator play an agreeable revivalist speed metal. The basic mixture is uptempo traditional metal, a bit of thrash, and the lightest hint of extreme metal (mostly confined to some backing vocals). It's clearly a modern product, with its poker-faced reverence for tropes. It yields a fairly satisfying listen by executing well, maintaining high levels of energy, and not overstaying its welcome.
