Since 2005, main man Hansi Cross, has had this idea to re-record some older material and now there finally was some time over to do that. Hansi says: "Some of the songs from the earliest albums is very fine compositions but the production sometimes lacked some quality. Remember that these was 16-channel tape recordings made during a period when Cross was still seeking it's own sounds, it's own identity. For this album we have choosen some of them that has most of the elements that, with time, was established as "crossish stuff". As these earliest albums are sold out and deleted since some while I find this a good way to keep some of the songs alive." The worktitle during the recordings was "X" as it is the 10th full length Cross album. When the artwork was finished the decision to name it "Da Capo" was taken - a suitable title as the band is performing the songs a second time. The five tracks were initially written and recorded between 1990 and 1993.This new album was recorded in 2014 and and very much in the vein of the previous album "Wake Up Call" with it's multi-layered symphonic sound. During 2015 there will be a series of three Cross albums released. One is an album with alternative versions and previously unreleased material. The other two are remixed and partlyre-recorded versions of Gaze (1996) and Visionary Fools (1998).
