Remastered deluxe reissue of the German heavy metal classic with 8 bonus tracks Originally released in 1987, Running Wild's album "Under Jolly Roger" marked a landmark in the history of heavy metal by bringing about the birth of a new genre: Pirate Metal. The band underwent a complete overhaul of the symbolism and themes of their lyrics, creating a new genre based on the pirate look that appealed to the imagination of heavy metal fans around the world. So it finally catapulted the band into the Hall of Fame of Heavy Metal. "Under Jolly Roger" sold a quarter of a million copies worldwide.
