Almost three years after the wonderful Rise Above The Meadow, Greenleaf once again raise an extremely urgent question: Why don't these Swedes fill venues at least as big as Queens Of The Stone Age?
Well, it certainly can't be because of the wonderfully easy grooving opener "Let It Out!". And Hear The Rivers has also become another one of those sparkling bags of wonder that takes the warm Borlänge-Stoner sound as a basic framework to do fantastic things with it!
The pounding riff-o-rama "Good Ol' Goat", for example. Or the slow-swinger "We Are The Pawns". A gem of an album that is best left in the family: Ex-Greenleaf and Dozer drummer Karl Daniel Lidén (Craft, Bloodbath, Crippled Black Phoenix, among others) produced it.
