Thundermug Strikes = LP, Purple = (LP)
In one of those confusing instances where albums are issued with the same title in different countries, the American LP titled Thundermug Strikes (on Epic) has a substantially different track listing than the Canadian one called Thundermug Strikes (on Axe). Though the Canadian version of Thundermug Strikes is their actual debut full-length album, the U.S. version is actually a compilation of tracks from their first two Canadian LPs, the original Thundermug Strikes and its follow-up, Orbit. It did a reasonable job of representing the sound of this Canadian hard rock band, including some of its better-known tracks with "Africa," "Orbit," "Garden Green," "Jane J James," and a cover of the Kinks' "You Really Got Me." It might be worth checking out for those who like their early-'70s hard rock with pop/rock influences, decent vocal harmonies, and unusual song construction
