Rebirth (CD)
Overtures is an Italian melodic metal band and have released their sophomore effort Rebirth on the Greek label Sleaszy Rider Records. This album is a mixture of power and heavy metal with a bit of hard rock influence to go with the soaring vocals of Michele Guaitoli . Guest appearances are made by Ákos Komondi from the band Halor and Rafahel, current guitarist for Elvenking. The album was mastered by Mika Jussila who is noted for his work with Nightwish, Children of Bodom and Edguy to name a few, so it is not surprising that Rebirth is a quality album with certainly some Edguy to the sound.
