Semistereo serves its alternative rock with lots of Progrock and Postrock influences. Semistereo can be compared to bands like Oceansize, Tool, A Perfect Circle and Porcupine Tree, but they also have the unpredictable and alternative touch of bands like The Mars Volta or Radiohead. Semistereo is ready for the future with their new 'Semistereo', and the accompanying video clip of their song 'A Graceful Shutdown'. Even more than on their previous CD 'Welcome, You Knight!' the band navigates between beautiful soft passages and heavy guitar eruptions while building their songs layer by layer.
