Keane? Oh you know, that band that debuted with a slightly dull but pleasingly inoffensive collection of piano ballads, before suddenly finding depth, going all hinterland electro pop and writing eleven fantastic, lush synth pop songs of absolute longing and unashamedly gracious epic-ness (ok, and one awful U2 pastiche that unfortunately lets the rest of the album down). But, I'm serious. Anyone who compares this with the real bland-ites out there is clearly mad. This is an unexpectedly great record, and I make no apologies to you for saying so.
