Inspired by artists such as Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Beck and Eric Clapton, Canadian blues-rock guitarist Pat Travers began playing guitar at the age of twelve
His rousing, raw and dynamic Rockpalast concert on November 4, 1976 marked the European breakthrough of the then 22-year-old, who had just signed a major deal with Polydor in London. At the time, his band consisted of Peter "Mars" Cowling on bass and Michael "Nicko" Henry McBrain, who had been on drums with Iron Maiden since 1982
A few albums later, when blues-oriented rock music became more and more out of focus in the 1980s due to heavy metal and new wave, Pat Travers went back to the States, where there is still a vibrant blues rock scene
To this day, Pat Travers enjoys an outstanding reputation as a great live act with his high-paced energy and close connection with his fans.
