Opera Electronica (CD)
DATA was an electronic group that Georg Kajanus (Electron, Sailor, Noir) started in the late 70s after Sailor disbanded. Georg decided to experiment with electronic music and formed DATA with vocalists Frankie and Phil Boulter. As one critic aptly noted, "DATA mixes Italo disco, Giorgio Moroder and ABBA, effectively blending synthetic experimental music with melodic pop"
The classically-influenced title track from DATA's first album, released in 1981, was used as the theme music for the film "Towers Of Babel". The film was nominated for a BAFTA Award in 1982 and won the Silver Hugo Award for Best Short Film at the Chicago International Film Festival that same year
Georg has digitally remastered the original album and added two bonus tracks.
